Tripwire Picket · perimeter node
In developmentHand-emplaced, sealed and quiet. Passive infrared, acoustic and magnetic sensing on the node, a sub-GHz radio to its neighbours, and a state ring that is red only when it matters.
Tripwire is a detection line you put down by hand: sensors that watch an approach, a sentry that confirms, and a relay that reports every crossing into TAK, the shared picture U.S. forces and first responders already carry. The hardware is in development. The first member of the family, an iPhone app, is in testing now.
Three steps, no work order. The line does the watching so people can do the deciding.
Push pickets into the ground along the approach you care about. They find each other and form the line. Pull them out and use them again.
Each picket senses on its own, with passive infrared, acoustic and magnetic sensing, and sends an event when something crosses: what kind, where, when. Not a video stream.
The relay turns events into Cursor on Target. They appear in ATAK, iTAK and WinTAK as they happen, and the overwatch slews to the crossing to confirm with optics.
Every member speaks Cursor on Target, so any one of them is useful alone and all of them are better together.
Hand-emplaced, sealed and quiet. Passive infrared, acoustic and magnetic sensing on the node, a sub-GHz radio to its neighbours, and a state ring that is red only when it matters.
Camera, LiDAR and thermal on a pan head, with the gateway radio built in. When the line trips, it slews to the bearing and confirms what crossed. Tripod, pole, mast or vehicle.
Hears the whole line and speaks Cursor on Target to your TAK Server over IP, tactical radio or cellular. Straps to a tree, a post, a rail or a vehicle.
The phone you already carry as a tripwire: camera and LiDAR watch, the phone and your watch alert, and the evidence stays on the phone. The testing ground for everything above.
Working names. Final product names, specifications and appearance are being decided.
Patrol bases, halts, observation posts and the approaches nobody can watch all night.
Trails, crossings and choke points, with the picture shared to everyone on the net.
Substations, pipelines, solar farms and water sites with long fences and few people.
A perimeter around a warrant, a search or a scene, laid in minutes and picked up after.
Ranches, remote sites and equipment yards: know when something crosses, wherever you are.
Set your iPhone down. Arm it. When something moves it alerts you, saves three photos and a ten-second clip, and reaches your Apple Watch. No account, no cloud, no uploads: everything stays on the phone.
It is the first Tripwire node and the testing ground for the family. What we learn from it goes into the hardware.
